AV and conference inventory we can review
Commercial AV inventory often contains a mix of complete systems, standalone peripherals and project-specific accessories. A useful submission identifies the manufacturer, model or part number, quantity, condition and whether the original packaging or mounting hardware is included.
When bulk AV inventory is a good fit
This page is intended for businesses, not one-off household electronics. Good candidates include unused project stock, cancelled deployment inventory, distributor overstock, refresh/decommission lots and repeat quantities of identifiable SKUs.
- Unopened or open-box conference room hardware
- Multiple units from a corporate collaboration refresh
- Cancelled or excess installation inventory
- Mixed AV lots with a spreadsheet, rack/room list or clear photos
- Accessories that can be matched to the main equipment
Practical tip:
If a room system has several components, list the core model and note which camera, microphone, controller and power items are included. This helps avoid valuing a partial kit as a complete kit.
What affects an AV inventory review
Value depends on more than whether an item powers on. Current resale demand, model age, quantity, condition, completeness, packaging, freight requirements and the consistency of the lot can all matter. Older equipment may still have value when there is active secondary demand, while a newer model can be difficult to place if key accessories are missing.
Information that speeds up a review
- Manufacturer and exact model/part number
- Quantity by SKU
- New, open-box, used, tested, untested or returns condition
- Original boxes, mounts, power supplies and remotes
- ZIP code and whether inventory is palletized
- Photos of labels for items that are difficult to identify

Prepare your inventory
Four details make new old stock inventory easier to evaluate.
A useful first submission does not need to be perfect. Start with the information you already have, then add the details that help identify the equipment and the lot.
Exact model or part number
Use the manufacturer label or SKU whenever possible. Specific models are more useful than broad descriptions such as “switch,” “server” or “laptop.”
Quantity by model
List the count for each model or configuration. If exact counts are not ready, a reasonable pallet, carton or lot estimate can still help start the review.
Condition & packaging
Note whether the inventory is factory sealed, open-box, used, returned, untested or incomplete. Mention damaged cartons or missing accessories when known.
Location & representative photos
Include the city/state and a few clear photos of the lot, model labels and packaging. This helps the purchasing team understand scale and logistics.
