Business inventory—not individual device trade-ins

The purpose of this page is to separate bulk business inventory from consumer buyback intent. Good submissions typically have repeated SKUs, cartons, pallets, case packs or an inventory export that can be evaluated as a commercial lot.

Handling mixed condition

One of the most common reasons a retail lot becomes difficult to review is that all units are assigned one condition. If 70% are factory sealed and 30% are customer returns, split them. If return testing is incomplete, label the affected units as returns/untested rather than assuming functional condition.

Useful detail beats a longer sales pitch.

A clean SKU list with honest condition notes usually tells the purchasing team more than paragraphs of marketing copy about the merchandise.

Prepare your inventory

Four details make new old stock inventory easier to evaluate.

A useful first submission does not need to be perfect. Start with the information you already have, then add the details that help identify the equipment and the lot.

Exact model or part number

Use the manufacturer label or SKU whenever possible. Specific models are more useful than broad descriptions such as “switch,” “server” or “laptop.”

Quantity by model

List the count for each model or configuration. If exact counts are not ready, a reasonable pallet, carton or lot estimate can still help start the review.

Condition & packaging

Note whether the inventory is factory sealed, open-box, used, returned, untested or incomplete. Mention damaged cartons or missing accessories when known.

Location & representative photos

Include the city/state and a few clear photos of the lot, model labels and packaging. This helps the purchasing team understand scale and logistics.
